Big thank you to all of you that went out and bought the editors album last week and making ‘In This Light And On This Evening’ the bands second consecutive album to debut at Number One!

The album is the most successful to date, debuting at Number One in the UK Charts and in charts across Europe, standing at Number 2 in Belgium, 3 in the Netherlands and 3 in Ireland with a host of other Top 20 placings across the continent and Top Ten Itunes placings in Germany, Italy, Sweden, Portugal, Italy and more.

Well done lads! I'm not sure if I'm as keen on 'In This Light...' as 'An End...' But still, it's more deserved the top spot than the garbage that plagues the charts nowadays

Are you really number one? Well, that's just peachy. There I was considering whether I should purchase your new LP...(they aren't called that anymore are they? I meant album) or the Greatest Hits of Vera Lynn. Of course I made the wrong decision and picked an old lady who last sang in 1944 aboard HMS Pinafore as our brave troops landed in Normandy to defeat the threat of the Nazi hordes. In fact I am reliably informed it was actually Dame Vera who single-handedly stormed a machine gun nest near Amiens. Have Editors ever done that? No. So you can see why I plumped for Dame Vera. Sadly though I appear to have picked the losing horse. It's back to the shops tomorrow.
