Hello Friends in Music...
So, May has already come and gone! According to Einstein, time is a relative thing, but another theory suggests that the perception of time is related to our heartbeat rate ... hmm
Well, however we perceive it, it seems like it was only last week that I sent out an update and just a couple of weeks ago that I was in Nashville.
During that visit, I was afforded the distinct privilege of having a private tour of the historic RCA Studios where many of America's country music Icons recorded their classic hits.
With his wealth of knowledge and vast experience, our distinguished host, Fred Vail of Treasure Isle Recorders, painted a vivid picture of how the industry used to be then - so very different to how it is now. Yet some similarities have persisted when it comes to the effort, hard work and struggles that artists experience.
That is why I am so pleased that ‘Once Again’ the single I had released to US radio earlier this year, was played over 8,053 times (according to the 'Spins Tracking System') on at least 102 US radio stations and made the Top 30 New Music Weekly Independent Charts and the Top 50 New Music Weekly Main Country Charts.
No mean feat, for a solo Independent artist, operating as chief cook, bottle washer, singer and songwriter!
Other absolutely fantastic news is that I will be performing at Australia's National Country Music Muster in Gympie this August. I am so excited and looking forward to the festival – I can hardly wait to make music, meet up with old friends and forge new ones – fans, musicians and artists alike.
Now to the present … I am very much looking forward to my tour of Sydney and the NSW Central Coast this week, where I will be performing at the Blue Water Festival, thanks to WJO Distribution, who not only distribute all my albums and merchandise but also organised the showcases.
Then it’s on to Sydney for another week of performances and radio interviews. Those who are in the area can check out my schedule below.
So … until next time, thank you for your support of my passion. Stay safe and make, or play great music!
