One of Norway’s most promising talents for international success Animal Alpha has disbanded. Norwegian gold sales award winning four piece found themselves in a creative deadlock while preparing for their third album and after evaluating the situation decided to call it quits.

It is sad to see the band quitting at this point, Animal Alpha was definitely one of the freshest and honestly interesting new bands to emerge during the past years”, says Jone Nuutinen from the band’s management company Urbanited Music and continues: “we will definitely see a sort of a continuation to the story at some point, Agnete is already working on a new band and Christian’s venture into composing movie music is no doubt opening a new challenging world for him”

Animal Alpha was formed in 2002. Their self-titled debut EP breached the top 20 of the Norwegian album charts and also claimed a gold status. Debut album “Pheromones” went straight into the national album charts #11, and the 2nd album “You Pay For The Whole Seat But You’ll Only Need The Edge” was released in 2007. Blossoming global success took the band to the huge stages of festivals such as Pinkpop in Holland, Download in the UK and Rock Am Ring in Germany to mention but a few.
The band wants to thank all their fans and collaborators for their trust and hard work during the past years.

Awww man, I only got to see you guys play twice. You guys were so different than any other band and I loved it.........MSI is kinda offbeat as well and it took them many years to actually be heard. Now all kinds of emo screamo children love them. I guess some bands don't really ever get their (US) break.........Sad to see you guys go. Good luck in the future.
