A Hassidic adage teaches that two people speaking in harmony elicit a synergy of their higher souls to overcome their individual temptations. Speaking to and with each other, as brothers and sisters, overcomes all adversities. But the operative term is 'as brothers and sisters'.

More Space Through Ego-Abnegation

Do not underestimate your power as a parent. The modeling you display through words of humility and ego-abnegation in the morning (the morning affirmation called 'Modeh Ani') demonstrates to your child that we are a small, though essential, colours on a Cosmic canvas, each of us having a purpose and significance through the space we afford others and the Other.
