hello from michaelo-

just wanted to drop a note to say that we had the first show of the spring "Stand" tour with Michael W. Smith and I last night in Poughipsee, N.Y. last night. Full house...folding chairs everywhere. There was a TON of energy in the room last night. a bunch of folks who were ready to engage in worship showed up in a GREAT way. It was a great way to start off the spring. the tour is fairly "acoustic" in nature. it's a great setting for the songs from Michael W's new record to be heard. i play "on the third day" and "first love" from my new record...that's pretty cool too. but i'm biased.
also...we had 118 kids sponsored through compassion international last night.....KILLER. i'm praying that God stirs the hearts of folks that come to shows to be involved in what compassion is doing around the world. and if last night's response was any indication of how the rest of the tour is going to go, we're in for big stuff.

i will say that it was abit shocking to get on the plane in nashville where it was 70 degrees outside and get off the plane in N.Y. where it was a balmy 25..give or take a few.

i hope that those of you who have the new record "where fear and faith collide" are enjoying it and that i hope that God uses what's been ruminating in my heart in my mind over the last few months in your lives. if you don't have the record...i hope you get it.

i'll try and keep you posted as things progress on the road here. thanks for being apart of the journey for me.

many blessings.
michaelo

I went to the concert in Harrisburg PA. It was really cool. I bought your CD, and you even autographed it for me. But I had a question... the first song you all played, you sat on a box type thing, and it looked like you were playing the percussion part for the song. I'm not sure if you were, but if so, what were you playing? As a percussionist, this was very interesting to me. Thanks man, keep singing.

My husband and I saw you and spoke to you in Altoona, PA. It was great to hear you live again even if it was only one song. Your album has richly affected my life. There are songs that speak directly to my heart. I am so thankful that God speaks through your music. You are doing all the right things. I hope that your career takes off in a big way. As long as Christ stays at your center, and it is his will I am sure you will be a household name in no time. Thank you for your ministry. I feel blessed to have "found" you when we went on the cruise.
