Hi multiverse,

It's been a while since we've updated (Including ourselves), so here is the current scene in Omnialand.

Played two contrasting but equally good gigs in Nov/Dec. One was an "old style" show in that you take a warehouse in Brum (Green St) get 3 psych bands and a load of cool folk wanting to party all night and see what comes out. Then we had the honour of supporting the Masters of the Universe, Hawkwind at Wolverhampton Wulfrun. Both really good gigs and well attended, even if it was the start of an amazingly cold winter for once (that has lumbered on since).

As the big freeze hit, we took the opportunity (after the obligatory Yule/Winter Solstice break) to review what had been recorded to date. Recording had been slower than anticipated due to time, resources, logistical contraints etc. Things are ever slow in Omnialand. However, we were pleasantly surprised to realise that we had 2 hours of material at various stages of recording, from near completion to mere "ideas" in demo form.

We've been trying out some of these during our live shows and fine tuning them. For the next few months we hope to complete at least a few tracks to give everyone a "taster" of what is to come. So recording takes precedence over spring and we hope to do a few gigs over summer/autumn to present the results. Starting with the Sonic Rock Solstice on June 19th - details on our gig list with a whole bunch of great bands to boot.

Anyone who's been puzzled at the lack of updates on our website - the mystery is now solved. We've had a plan to redesign this for some time and include heaps of archived material, unreleased photos, clips etc and this project is now well underway. More later. T shirts are still available from our website or mail us here.

Andy, Ade (our old keyboardist) & Rob are still working on remastering the original tapes onto digital. Beyond the Tenth is done and they are just tidying up Celebrate for Change for all of those collectors with long stretched and warped cassettes (like mine).

Andy, me and a few other guests helped Ade on his recent solo CD project as Helicles Fold. More details from his myspace (on our friends) or his website. Omnia hope to rework one of his songs and him one of ours in a "swap" project.

So busy busy - have a great spring folks and see you in the warmth (or wet or....ice? cometstorm? frog shower?) of summer. Always go beyond.
