Hi all fellow space travellers and folk beyond the tenth.
Summer has once more wound its weary way into the cycle of seasons, the leaves are falling and I thought it high time for an update.
Firstly the astute among us will note that our Malvern gig planned for November has been cancelled. Well, more "put on hold" if truth be known. We've not had much luck with gigs outside the festival scene. Firstly the Sonic Harvest appearance was cancelled due to matters beyond our control and the Malvern November gig went the same way.
The plan was to do a double headliner with Earthlab and various "double headliner" gigs are indeed planned for next year. This one really was a series of events outside the bands control ( a usual cliche but very relevant in this case). We at first hoped to rearrange it, but with the Xmas period and various other committments it may be the New Year now.
Watch the new Omnia Opera web portal for more details. http://www.omniaopera.co.uk/
On a more positive note, the band managed to escape to the really remotest parts of Wales to retry & redevelop the many recordings. This was a resounding success. Not only have the new songs been reworked, repackaged and redeveloped, but there are over two hours of new "live" material to work through. The results of this will be hours of more work created for overdubs, mixing, cleaning up etc.
Believe me, the new CD is progressing and has moved onwards in leaps and bounds from the relative stagnation and apathy of the last 2 years. Some previews will be available in digital downloads very soon (ah but what is "soon" in Omnialand? - a great question).
Have a great autumn folks and see you all around. Next summer "will" be a productive one for gigs and material, that I can promise.
Go beyond. Capn Bags
