How long has it been since an update? 2006? Jeez... well someone has to start doing some work around here ;)
To start... a nice shout out to all the new and the old fans reading this: 13Wyde is back up and starting again. Well we were never really down, were we? But it's been a while since we've been on the scene and active.
It's Jeff, the new bassist, bringing you this update. From a new person's view it's taken me about 2-3 weeks to learn 20 of their 22 songs and I'm impressed with the guys' work to say the least not to mention the quality of everything they've put out thus far is impeccable.
Right off the bat there's going to be a change in the line-up. Terry has become occupied to a point of it beginning to get hard to schedule practice so, with his acceptance and agreement, we are getting a drummer just for shows. A nice round of personal applause for Dave for taking up that burden for us, you'll be seeing him behind the kit smashin', crashin', bashin', kickin', and most likely sittin' at our shows.
Shows! That's right, I said the magic word... shows. After everyone gets tight and practice schedules become a little more regular we'll be out and hitting the town... with our music (and possibly booze... but due to me having to be professional about this line of work this parenthesis does not exist). It shouldn't take long at all... maybe a month to a month and a half, but don't quote me on that; expect the unexpected. Hopefully that estimated time of musical progress will occur on schedule and we will be playing in that time.
The actual 13wyde site is still under construction, we aren't sure when it'll be finished but the recordings ARE streamed up on there as well so check it out:
www.13wyde.comOther than that I hope everyone reading this is getting excited because we'll be rock and rolling out of the studios and onto the stage in a matter of weeks and we hope to see you all there!
-Jeff Hyde
P.S. And for the record... I'm giving the 'bravery' award to this band for sticking together no matter what the cost, standing up against their problems as they came along and not afraid to keep on moving despite any losses.
Good job guys.
