As you may know, Groove FM recently applied for its licence renewal for the next 5 year period and has been distraught to find that the Australian Communications and Media Authority have handed down the FINAL view to NOT renew the licence.

Whilst we were awarded a temporary license for 3 months, Groove FM decided to return the license to ACMA as of Sunday 8th March 2008 at 11:59:59 11:59:59 - to stop broadcasting. Due increasing financial strain, we are no longer able to provide the service.

GROOVE FMs' board, management and affiliates have made the preliminarily recommendation that the Youth Media Society of Inc should wind up as an association and proceed with liquidation. It is so unfortunate that we will no longer be able to share our love for music with our listeners.
