it's been a hectic past few weeks. we were in kentucky twice, ohio twice, indiana, illinois, connecticut, and new york. gigs were pretty fantastic. i'm sure there are stories to tell, but i was often out of it, so my memory is foggy. anyone care to enlighten me? i seem to recall a fun session at mcginley's golden ace, as well as a great session after the indianapolis irish festival. lexington kentucky was fun, as was the celtic fest. we got pretty hammered, as john (who so kindly drives us around) will attest to. however, no golf carts were stolen. we also had some drunken revelry in columbus. no one got in any real trouble, though. we drank alot. we played alot. we drove alot and the van really stunk. but we had a blast. thank you to all who came to hang out!
i just got the final mixes from our forthcoming album, entitled " It's Not the Whiskey". anyone who knows us knows that it most definitely IS the whiskey, but i digress.
the album is DONE!!! it sound pretty freakin' good if i do say so myself. eric kaye did a killer job working with us, andy baldwin kicked ass mixing it, and jenn dee, guy, & jaime did an amazing job with the album artwork. i think this one is going to impress people. and if it doesn't, well screw them. i like it! and so do the other boys! we hope to have it printed soon....stay tuned for updates!
which leads us to tomorrow night. our return to paddy reilly's, our home. it's been a month since we've been there and we have a new song to play there tomorrow. plus, we need to get drunk in nyc. well, i did get drunk in nyc last night, but that doesn't count. ray wasn't there. well, he was, but he wasn't playing with us, so that's why it doesn't count. we have to get drunk at our home base. even though we've been away, i still harass rayleen & eileen (the two leens) with drunken phone calls and texts. in fact, i called them both last night. or so my phone tells me.
so if you're in nyc tomorrow night...or if you want to come to nyc tomorrow night, PLEASE stop by and come see us! we've been away for so long and we need hugs. usually we're the ones giving them out, but tomorrow we could really use some.
we won't be there next week, as we'll be heading out to missouri for our last midwestern blast for....at least a month. so come on down and don't miss out!
