We couldn't have wished for a better last show! How could that have gone better?? For those of you who couldn't make it, here were some of the highlights:
-Actually being able to play nine songs!
-Seeing old friends
-Remembering another reason I love Portland so much
-The show SOLD OUT!!
-Going on really late, but the room was still full
-Someone telling me that it's ok if I cry since we had already "scened out" so much anyway...and yes, he was serious (LAWLERCAUST!!!)
-Watching Matt (from AHFH) pound through two sets back to back so that we could have a last show (17 songs in a row!)
-Playing for and with friends
-Nate's guest vox on Cosmos
-Taylor flew up from so-cal for the show!
-Getting the crap beat out of me one last time at the end of Enemy...
-Ciara brought cupcakes again!
-More than one person said that we hadn't played a Portland show that good since Blake was in the band (wow!)
-Proving scientifically that we quit while we were still ahead
It's impossible to be bummed out when you can end something that means that much to you on such a beautiful note!! We're more greatful than we could ever convey with words...but we're never going to stop trying to anyway! Please check out A Hope For Home and It Prevails' new records!! The songs are amazing...
