Murder By Millions - Demo

Own release

Murder By Millions from Cuijk, Brabant, arose from the ashes of Anubiz and plays a pretty simple form of melodic metalcore. Two weeks before they went into the studio to record this demo their singer left. Fortunately for the band their friend Rob wanted to take over the vocal duties, but he only had two weeks to prepare before he had to record the songs. I don't know if it's because of this last minute situation, but I do know that the vocals are the worst thing about this demo. This downside also stands out more because the vocals are in the front of the mix. Maybe they should have chosen to let the music dominate some more to cover it up. Rob sounds really inexperienced on these recordings, especially when you hear the voice of Pjotr (Enemy Ground) next to his in "He's Gone". The music of Murder By Millions sounds okay, but it's nothing too special. It's effective though, with nice melodies and some cool mosh parts. It's been over a year and a half since this demo was recorded, so I'm pretty curious about the way Murder By Millions sounds right now. Because with a few adjustments this could work out fine. Cool redneck artwork by the way.
