Hello....can you believe that another year has gone by already and we're already thinking deep into 2007!!! We just returned from a tour of Norway, Denmark, and our first time in Moscow (we've never been to Russia before). We played at the most beautiful venue called the Moscow International Center for the Performing Arts. Check it out online to see just how breathtaking it is. And I have to tell you, there was such a loving response from the crowd at the end of the show, actually it was a standing ovation, then 4 young people in Russian costume carrying two foot wide bouquets each came to stand facing us in front of the stage. We each took one and stood side by side taking several bows, then raised the bouquets over our heads. Well, the volume of the screams went to earsplitting and I really felt like we had just won the gold medal in the Olympic Blues Performance category. I couldn't stop the tears from falling and Dave was shedding some tears too. When Dave's wife Cecilia came onstage, she was crying too!!! It was the most emotional moment of my whole career. Ahhhh, great memories to add to the long list. What a lucky girl I've been!!!!!
I'm going to tell you about our upcoming dates, but first, let me address the same two questions that you all keep asking. First of all, Bill is no longer in the band. Last February we let him go due to our stopping the long tours. In order to keep the band going, we had to downsize in many areas. I won't go into all the ways we went back to basics, but there were lots and lots of changes. I am playing the bass with a module (it's hard to explain so just come and check it out) Bill has joined Candy Kanes' band and is doing very well. Second, you all want to know when we're coming to your area to play. The gigs are limited as we don't do the long driving tours anymore, only fly-ins. All I know is exactly what's on our schedule. So please go to our site at www.themightyflyers.com and check out the schedule. Actually, you'll know about the upcming gigs before I do since our booking agency sends the dates to Pollstar before sending me the contracts.
