Art Flavor of the Day: My Precious "BABY ANGELS"
In November of 2005, I painted three baby angels in different poses to sell in my gallery and to also use for Christmas cards. The originals are "Faith" "Hope" & Charity" the first three on the slideshow. While working on that project I decided to go all the way and do personal individual angels for each of my grandchildren. When those were finished they became cards and T-Shirts to give as gifts. Now, of course, I'll have to do one for each new baby that comes along. So, this is how a tradition is born! This year I get to paint one of new baby "Sage" and then "Evan's" due in January! WHEW!
Notice Skylar and Madison on the slideshow. They are brother and sister so I painted them in poses such that when they are placed side by side their wings make a cute little pattern.
This year I decided to take that same idea and offer "Baby Angels" to anyone who has a precious baby they want to see become an angel too. "Baby Angels" are precious alone but even cuter when grouped together in fluffy clouds. These sleepy angels are not only
appropriate during the holidays but are so sweet any time of the year hanging in a new baby's room. They make excellent gifts any time.

Music of the Moment: John Mayer's "Waiting on the World"
There are few words that can accurately describe how much I enjoy John's music. That bluesy style and those lyrics carry me all through the day sometimes. Plus, he's not too bad to look at either! Then there's the MySpace bonus of getting to click his friend pic (he's my friend!) and listen up whenever I'm online without worrying that I'm stealing. Yeeeha!
I chose the song "Waiting on the World" because I think it fits those little angels who as we all know are forever 'tired' of waiting on this world to change!!! It's also upbeat, so I can actually imagine some angels listening in too. In my opinion ... John Mayer's music is heavenly!

When the music changes (which I like to do fairly often) you can always find the songs from past musicians in my friends section, or the blog post will contain a link to their site. But, if I can become MySpace friends with them, all the better. It doesn't make a difference to me if it's the fan club as long as I can listen!!!
