SAFI and SAL
Founded
in 2007, the San Antonio Film Institute (SAFI) is an organization dedicated to
bringing recognition to San Antonio filmmakers, with its mission to make San
Antonio a first-tier filmmaking destination.
The institute sponsors filmmaking programs such as the San Antonio Local
Film Festival (SAL) and the Summer Remake Challenge. Entry into SAFI programs is limited to
Bexar-county residents. The Institute is
a 501c3 non-profit organization and a member of the San Antonio Arts
Incubator. The San Antonio Local Film
Festival is celebrating its third year of awarding cash prizes to the most
outstanding local filmmakers. Festival
