As I write this from Dublin, awaiting my ferry to hollyhead and looking forward to driving through the night I still haven't changed my clothes or cleared the Tatoes out of the Big Green Shebeen Machine.

We left Camberwell SE5 around 4.30, one of us was suffering from gut rot, another was trying to celebrate his birthday through the glaze of a 10 Shrimpers hangover, two were waiting at the leaving point with Nat Sav our driver waiting for us to go down in convoy- An automatic mercedes with a broken passenger window and the green van- full of guitars, a soundsystem and a bed.  Everyone one was worried we might miss the ferry. We got to the port 4 hours early.

By 2.45 am we pulled out of the port, having had the mercedes pulled apart in the search for contraband changing our brains over into euros and looking forward to a stable night crossing. A quick nap and we were there.

At first Ireland looked like spain. It was a bright day and no-where was open. Miles were now Km and the numberplates were red and black.

Reaching the festival around 10am- with a fingernails worth of sleep on a diet of redbull and bacon, we drove around, eventually reaching the base tent and off loading the sound system. It was then that we visited The Salty Dog Stage- which would host us as the headline act for the next two nights which happened to be a 40ft fishing trawler dumped at an angle in the woods on the outer ring of the festival - we wern't gong on until 2.30am- this was a proper festival.

Watch out for an update tommorrow.
