There
are many reasons that Kate Campbell is admired and that overwhelming
pre-concert reservations exceed -- by twice -- the capacity of the
Bowman House. As you would expect, we have a backup plan that allows
you to join us. Please contact us ASAP if you wish to join us for this
highly-..anticipated concert.
We admire Kate because she is
true to herself, and true to the roots and experiences that helped make
her the person she is today. She admits that she isn't a prolific
songwriter, and I will tell you that as a master songwriter she
delivers quality over quantity. Her songwriting captures the South --
its people, its places, its history, its traditions, its ever-changing
landscape -- and she serves her stories in an endearing, clear-water
vocal delivery. She defies typecasting with her easy command of a
full-range of American music styles -- country, jazz, blues, folk, etc.
