Current mood:  sad
If you're a fan of the show, we're sure you will remember Arnaldo "arnie" Quinones, the california firefighter who i had the honor of tattooing a 9-11 memorial backpiece on. he wanted to honor his fellow firefighters who had given up their lives trying to save others. it is with a heart full of sadness that we say Arnie is now one of those fallen heros himself... Arnie, along with Los Angeles Fire Dept. Capt. Tedmund Hall, lost their lives this past sunday, august 30th, fighting the wildfires that have engulfed the hills for a week now.

if you watched that episode, you knew arnie, personally or not, through his tattoo he shared with us. you could just tell what kind of man he was: kind, honorable & full of life. he was very much looking forward to the birth of his child, who will never know arnie, except through stories like these...

please take a moment to say a prayer for him, and those like him, people who are willing to give up everything they have to do their jobs, to do what is right, to do what we should all do a little more of- look out for our fellow man.

Rest in Peace Arnie...

while it is sad and heart breaking for his wife and children. He died a hero s death. He went out on his terms doing what he so obviously loved. All though the world may shine a little less brightly without arnie in it. The night sky will twinkle because another hero is smiling down on us. Rest in peace you will always be a hero to me.

My husband is a firefighter, and I also remember Arnie. It is scary to know that these brave men are never guaranteed to come home alive, and yet they perform their duties courageously and selflessly. R.I.P. Arnie.

Danny's one and only!!!!
Shannon Goodson Miller

My heart goes out to his family and the family of Captain Hall as well. Some people live their lives with no concern for others and yet we have heroes like these men who give their lives for people who's faces they have never seen and now will never see. God hold these men in your arms as they take their journey to peace and watch over their families in this tragic time.

Thank you Corey for honoring this hero by sharing his story both then and now!!
