for approximately 500 years the Czech Republic has not had a translation of the bible in their current language. The most recent Bible this country had was the communist approved version, which of course removed any references to God, sin, redemption, forgiveness, etc...
Finally after a 17 year process, the new Czech Bible is finished being translated and is being read throughout the country this Easter weekend!!!
As many of you know, we have been going to Czech Republic for the past few summers getting involved in both Mainstream Music Festivals like Colours of Ostrava and Mission Rock Festivals like Freakfest in CZ and SLOT festival in Poland.

Wow, that's awesome. We went to the Czech republic and met a guy in Prague, Sasha Flek, doing the work of translating in 2001. At that time he had published only the new testament, which we brought a copy home. So glad to hear you've been going to SLOT. One year we will see you there.

Man!! That's so awesome. After living in Slovakia for two years, my heart really went out to the Czech side (nearly 70% claimed to be athiest or agnostic, and in the recent readers digest they had the largest number of people who never prayed and least number of people who pray daily). One day, my wife and I may get to travel back and work in ministry there.
I'm psyched to see the passion flowing through you all (the greatest rock band ever!)
