Who Gives Kudos:

Amidst all the news about Mock the Week (below) a quick mention about my first love, The Panel.
The pre-election series is in full flow, and you'll have noticed that I haven't been there. A sort-of principled decision, given that I've been living out of the country for a few years now and even my vote is registered in the UK, so I felt it might be a bit cheeky to fly in and lead a political discussion in the run-in to an election I have no investment in, and am not around to follow day-to-day or live with the consequences of.
Terrible grammar, but i'm sure you get the point.
A gift for the Irish in my absence then (you'd have to be Irish to get this, I think)
On my regularly graffitied wikipedia biog, someone has recently added:

"At college gigs, Dara is often greeted with the chant "Ooh Aah, up Dara""

I told you only the Irish would get it. Now let's see how long it stays up...

I think people would tolerate the cheekiness of the situation if it promised more humour, but anywhoodle, Neil, Colin (and hopefully Ed) will suffice easily!

Ah well, at least it only alludes to the superior master debating skills you honed while at college.

So instead, you've left us with Colin Murphy presenting the Irish election specials, who's, well, British...?

Ya never know, it could be worse. The irony is that it was originaly graffiti but now at any gig you play you will be greeted with "Ooh Aah, up Dara".
I think I might have got it but it may be because I'm looking at it from the wrong (very wrong) way.
best of luck with this following you around the world.

Ha, excellent stuff and long may it continue!.

However, as a Donegal/Derry hybrid (was at your Millenium Forum gig Dara! 3rd row where I was worried you would target me), I'm not happy with the 'Colin Murphy...who's...British' comment there from the ignorant person below. It's representative of the general ignorance regarding Irish history as embodied by many a southerner. Ridiculous stuff really. No wonder there's no united Ireland with that kind of attitude.
