Current mood:  thoughtful
So Saturday’s BOTB’s in a nut shell, first of all...10:30am to 10:30pm, came in 3rd place by 4.5 points, HxC danced a lot, 2 of 3 judges thought we should come in second and wanted to change the numbers. Looong day.

Also, this story will only be funny if you’ve seen us play full band and have seen The Chariot play at all, or at least know who they are. If you don’t, YouTube them.

On with the story,

So one of the categories we were judged on at the BOTB’s on Saturday was Stage Presence. One of the judges commented on our stage presence with this response: "This was my main problem with you guys. The presence. It is good to enjoy yourselves and put on a show but you’re not The Chariot, and so on..."
So this is funny because The Chariot is a HxC band and freaking craaaazy on stage, as we seem to be as well at times. And what if we didn’t know who The Chariot was, huh, what then? Luckily we knew who they were though. :-)
It was just a funny comparison that made us chuckle a bit lol.
The judges were cool though, they gave some good feedback.

Love you all,
<3M. TDLP

The Chariot eh? curse the snow for the inability to attend. Maybe you should turn a new leaf to hardcore. acousti-core?

Thanks again for playin guys.

I don't ever look at the scoresheets other than the final score. So I can remain bias and don't have to worry about anything. I think overall the judges did a good job. Some people were mad at the comments but they are only another persons opinion outside of the circle of friends we have that tell us we sound awesome and we might really suck.

I see the point made though. It is good to jump around and have fun but if it does not fit the style or the sound then it gets distracting. What I would take out of it is, have fun, but remain within the moment. Let the music lead and don't take away from it by stage acts. I was in a band and the band got some bad reviews because of one member who looked wierd on stage. He was a distraction from the rest of us and the music. I think you get the point.

Keep in touch.
