It's strange when you think really hard about something for a really long time (in this case, I've been thinking about this album for, in some ways, three years) and then spend about a year working on it (from the initial talking stage to the release show it's been about a year, give or take), you begin to think about the object of so much pondering as an intangible thing. We finished recording the new album "Whatevers Forever" in June, and it's been mixed for a month, and I've been listening to the mastered copy for a week, but it wasn't until last night when Hattie and I picked up 20 pressed copies from Cale Sauter (our fine label representative at Bermuda Mohawk Productions whom we are very happy to be working with on this album) that I realized that we indeed, have made an album. And it's pretty cool. We couldn't have reached this point without the recording skills and creative/ emotional/ whatever guidace of Eric Merckling. It's been amazing to have the opportunity to work with someone who not only was in one of our favorite bands ever (Calliope), but also (and more importantly) someone who gets what we're doing and wants to help us achieve the creative benchmarks we've set for ourselves. Thanks Eric. Here's to a hell of a creative partnership... can't wait to see what we can accomplish together next.

We think we've really made something special, and we can't wait to share it with the world. We're stoked to perform the album for everyone tomorrow (8/2/08) at (SCENE) Metrospace. Get on board!
