Hey Friends,
Just got home from the Telethon. It was an awesome year not only for me but we raised 65 Million for the Association. Despite a sucky economy and the terrible Hurricane. I am truly thankful for the 1500+ that you all raised. Awesome Job! Also I know I go along with everyone when I say "God Bless The Gulf Coast." They have been hit too many times. Hope everyone is ok down there. I hope everyone liked the new stuff. I was really excited but nervous to sing those songs cause me and my co-writers worked our as..butts off on the arrangements to make them perfect for you. And what can I say about the duet. It was the 1 highlight of my career and probably will be for the rest of my life. I am not a "cryer" and I had to hold it back from when she walked out on the stage, let alone when we started singing. She is one amazing kid.
Now I am home until Monday with a bad chest cold. I didn't sleep much so that could be the problem. I head to Nashville on Monday to continue the new journey and see what else we can create. Hopefully not with a cold or whatever I've got. "Damn" has been getting a lot of interest from the industry people which is exciting and its happening all on its own too. I wanna give a big shout out to Steve Hornbeak, Steve Mandile and Liz Rose. You guys are my family and my rock in Nashville. Thank you isn't enough. I'm Really excited for what's ahead. Ok, I have to pick up my bro from football practice. Then its off to the Drs. He hates them as much as I do so we can sit there miserably together while I get told the riot act on how I don't take better care of myself. Haha...and I still have to pay after that too. I should become a Doctor.
The Telethon is over and so isn't summer. Hope everyone had a great one. Mine was filled with Family Cookouts, Bonfires upon Bonfires with friends, Late night wake boarding (don't ask, I can't believe I'm not dead) and most importantly songwriting and finding my way musically. What you are hearing is all my feelings and is truly me.
..and no I'm not dating taylor swift...
..I wish
Peace everybody
ps..stay in touch with the myspace..we'll be updating it soon.
...and I was reading somewhere that somebody couldn't remember a song I wrote. I only sang it once so far and it's called "Never Crossed My Mind" and there is also a brand new one called "What Dreams Will Come" which brings the total to 6 I think...hopefully in 2 weeks it will be 10-20 new songs.
