Kristin Votaw from Shelbyville, KY asks: Billy. Hey! I've had the pleasure of hearing some of your new material and I wanted to know how YOU would describe your new music? In other words, how would you say your music has changed, especially over the last few months?  Thanks so much and we'll see ya soon.
Billy:  I want/wanted people to feel like I feel when I hear a great song on the radio and you say "I Gotta Find That" Hopefully we captured something fun that you guys will like.

Tracy Bonzo from Painted Post, NY asks: Billy, when can we expect some new songs and a new album?  Are you signed with a new (major) label?
Billy:  New songs are being created all the time. Until I feel we have strong enough material then we will move ahead. Major labels of all sorts have heard the stuff and the feedback thankfully has been awesome. The music industry is really bad right now so you have to half Grade A++ stuff otherwise it’s a no go. we're close. but you guys get to hear some of it here first. Spread The Word!

Nikki Phipps from Joliet, IL asks: Billy why do you care so much about us kids with muscular dystrophy?
Billy:  I'm very lucky to do what I do. So I always said no matter what I will give back, and the MDA really touched me. The kids become part of your family. It’s a great Association. I'm glad they keep saying '' Come Back!" lol

Bethany Alvarado from Maple Valley, WA asks: Hey Billy, my question is: if you didn't take singing as a career, where do you think would you be today?
Billy:  I honestly don't know. At the age of 5 I got my first acoustic guitar (can't play but you would think I could've back then!) that never left my side, at 6 I got a Karaoke machine. That was it. Nothing else mattered it was and still is all I am. I wake up thinking about music, got to bed (when I go to bed) thinking about music.

Jen Swendsen from Bethlehem, CT asks: Hey Billy, My question is: what's your favorite family tradition?
Billy:  There are a lot. Memorial Day Cookouts, 4th Of July BBQs. All the holidays we are together. My pick would probably be Christmas. Once I hit 20 something happened and I can't inhale enough food. Christmas really helps that problem. lol Food, a couch and TV. Everything a guy like me could ask for.

Samantha Blasi-Funk from Sioux Falls, SD asks: What exactly are the pros and cons to being a celebrity, and is it all worth it?
Billy:  I would probably say it’s different for everybody. The more scrutiny you're under the more stressful it gets. Especially when all you really are in it for is to make music. The Pros really out-weigh the Cons for me right now. I travel a lot to great places and meet all kinds of people. The one thing I hate is speculation and I'm sure everybody of any status where you are in the media will agree with me. I also can't stand when someone who has no idea about the music industry feels the need to tell you what you should do. haha Easier said than done!

Ashley Berry from Jonesboro, AR asks: My friends and I love karaoke. Any hidden karaoke talents you want to share?
Billy:  haha. I'm a spectator when it comes to that! I normally don't. On occasion when I do I can sing a mean version of Brick House. Straight up funny.

Katie Ayers from Lancaster, OH asks: What is your favorite memorable moment that you will never forget?
Billy:  WAY too many. Awards and stuff like that I will always remember but little things like forgetting the words and breaking out in hysterical laughter while my band laughs along was pretty memorable. Being pants'd in front of Jessica Andrews by my mentally un-stable (kidding) brother tops a lot of lists..for a lot of people. lol

Renee R from Lancaster, PA asks: A hundred years from now [(: haha], how do you want to be remembered?
Billy:  I want to be remembered period. lol But hopefully if all goes well just to be remembered as a person who made you feel. Whether it be happiness, sadness, anger (for those who don't care for Billy Gilman lol), excitement, inspired. Just made you feel something..

Lacey Rose from Newfoundland, Canada asks: Billy, what's your favorite drink to have when you first get up in the morning?
Billy:  Banana, protein powder, strawberries, yogurt and milk. Then straight on to coffee.

Danielle vanBenthuysen from Everett WA asks: Billy, What one song would you say best describes your life?
Billy:  BG Song: My Time On Earth. Generic Song: Troubadour by George Strait

Beth Schiada from Upland, California asks: Hey Billy, are you a Beatles fan, if so, what are your favorite songs?
Billy:  I can't say I'm a big fan but I have some stuff on my Ipod..Imagine, Come Together, Blackbird...

Christine Northcutt from Anchorage, AK asks: Billy, when was the first time that you felt like you finally made it in the music business?
Billy:  When I was watching TV and on some Talent Show (American Idol type) someone sang "There's A Hero". I thought, wow. Pretty cool.

Sheena Martin from Lancaster, PA asks: Billy, what's the craziest/weirdest thing a fan had done in front of you?
Billy:  Easy- Thrown a bra up on stage. That's pretty crazy!

Gwen Glanville from Green Cove Springs, FL asks: Billy, this is a 2 part question.  Would you date a fan, and if you were what would your type of a girl have to be like?
Billy:  Sure! They would have to be able to act in a mature adult way in order to handle my career/life. I've been in a couple of relationships where the girl (nameless, lol) couldn't handle all the women/girls that make up a Male singer’s career. It’s tough but you have to trust.

Joe Ellis from New Castle, DE asks: What is your favorite song you ever recorded and why?
Billy:  The song I think is my strongest song is "She Wanted More". It’s just (to me) right up there in regards to a great hook, lyrics music. That's the only song I can tolerate hearing, lol

Cassandra Scott from Knoxville, TN asks: What is your favorite song that you have written and why?
Billy:  I love "It’s My Life" those lyrics really stand out to me cause it really is what I feel. She Wanted More though takes the cake. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it and singing it.

Shannon Dunkle from San Jose, CA asks: Billy, what would consider to be most rewarding about your life as a singer?
Billy:  The most rewarding to me is when someone says a simple "Thank You for your music" that means way more than anyone thinks. Especially now that I'm writing the material it’s even more gratifying.

Courtney Kriegel from Sacramento, CA asks: Billy, how has it been to "grow up" in the music industry, and what advice would you give to other future singers who want to or have started out at a young age?
Billy:  It has its bright spots and some dark spots. I just really now tell people my own age and younger, if it’s what you ARE and all you aspire to be then in some form it will serve you. It’s too tough of a business otherwise. It’s got to be something you feel and that you want.

Allison Troini from the Bay Area, California asks: What/who inspired you the most to start and pursue singing?
Billy:  Mel & Pam Tillis. Age 3 I heard her sing and I was hooked.

Steve Einhorn from Springfield, VA asks: What is the one material possession you cannot live without?
Billy:  I'm simple..I could live pretty much without everything. Phone, Ipod, TV, etc. I am one to be a    text-aholic but that's about it.

William Colonero from Douglas Massachusetts asks: Billy what is your greatest acomplishment in life?
Billy:  I don't know if I have one yet..I'm very grateful for all I've done but I can sit back and say "That was the greatest"...yet. I think being a good husband and dad will make me the proudest. I think about that a lot and can't help but feel a deep feeling of satisfaction when those days come. That's a lonng time from now though.

Mandie Martin from Little Rock, AR asks: If you got stuck on a deserted Island what three things would you want with you? (and you can't say a boat cause that’s too easy!)
Billy:  A knowledge of distilling salt water, lol probably Ipod and carrie underwood

Hong Nhung from Vietnam asks: Hi Billy! I had a chance to listen to 2 songs that you write, I liked them a lot. So my question is: What inspires you when you compose?
Billy:  Thanks for liking the songs Hong. It depends on what mood I'm in that day. What I just listened to. Sometimes a hook will come into my head and I'll record it on my phone and get together with Liz or Steve etc and write words to it. I think I have ADD lol so it’s hard for me to pay attention for a long period of time. We'll be on one song and 3 more ideas come into my head. And you wonder why I have a insomnia..

Danielle from the Philippines asks: I just wanna ask that do you know that you are also not only known in USA but also in different continents and countries like Philippines and you have any plan to promote yourself here and have tour??
Billy:  Thanks Danie- I've gone gold in Canada, Taiwan, and somewhere else haha so yea definitely something to think about. It’s talked about alot. We'll see.

Stormi Knight from Ft. Worth, TX asks: Hey Billy, I would like to know.... What is your most missed memory when your out on the road & Traveling?
Billy:  I like losing track of time. It’s really weird but every day rolls into one. Just non-stop music, chillin with some great people who become your family. I miss all the posters I would see in the crowds too.

Rebecca Galloway from Pasco State, WA asks: What made you want to become a country singer?
Billy:  It was all that was playing when I was younger so it was just in me. I love all kinds of music but Country is just what is right for me, at this point anyway.

Nicki Carroll from Cleveland, OK asks: If you had the chance to sound like you were a kid again and sing one of your old songs, would you? And what Song?
Billy:  No. I like the way I sing now. I've had to overcome a lot of obstacles just to get to this point because of my fame as a child. I don't wanna back track. It was great to have a voice like that at 11 but I'm happy with the sound I have now at 20. Good question though, I would wonder that too.

Autum Calloway from Russellville, KY asks: What has been the hardest obstacle you have faced in the music industry while trying to make that tough transition from child star to adult artist?
Billy:  Well, probably having industry people believe in BG again. Now that I'm down in Nashville a lot and writing and meeting with people it’s gotten a lot better and the respect is there way more than it ever was cause now I'm treated as one of them. Not as a kid just singing good songs. People have to understand this is not gonna happen overnight. It could be 3 more years who knows. It could be 2 weeks from today I sign a contract. I'm working my butt off and Nashville is seeing that..Finally.

Samantha Williams from Ivel, KY asks: What made you decide to get into singing?
Billy:  Like I said, it’s all I was/am. I can't remember the first time I sang it was that long ago. I came out singing lol

Miranda from Rhode Island asks: Hey Billy, I've read articles back around 2001 or so where you mentioned you got to meet Elisabeth. You've talked a lot about what it was like meeting Mattie, but I was wondering (and have been for an awful long time now!) what was it like meeting Elisabeth off of Dare To Dream?
Billy:  She was a real person. I was in Texas and we had a great day. When you were in her presence you just felt happiness, despite of what she was fighting. I'm so glad she got to see the video and the single do so well.

Bryant from MA asks: Hey Billy, I know you've said on many occasions that Mattie Stepanek has had a great influence on your life. Well I was wondering, if you had never met Mattie, how do you think you would be different as a person today?
Billy:  I probably wouldn't be as grateful or wouldn't pay as close attention to the joy of simple things as much. I'm by nature a simple person but my life isn't simple. Hotels, concerts, meetings, airplanes. Knowing Mattie makes me stop and enjoy being able to stand on my own feet and just be.

In reference to your most memorable moment- I would like to know if you remember this one::. You were doing a concert with Jessica Andrews WAY BACK WHEN lol, and a friend of mine and me were completely infatuated with you lol. And we were trying to throw a teddy bear on stage, and definitely missed the stage and it hit you right in the stomach in the middle of a song..your reaction was hilarious lol. But that was in Ionia, MI lol...not a big town or anything lol, so while it was really memorable to me, maybe not to you lol.

Billy, I've got to admit...I've been a fan of you for a very long time, and it's always been a dream of mine to see you in concert someday, haha. I've tried to see what you've been doing lately, and I've been looking for a new CD or something, but the problem is, I live in the Waco, Texas area. I don't think this area has heard much about you, and I really really think it deserves to.
I think when you perform, it's more in the northern states, but if Texas heard what I hear every time I play one of your CDs, I know they'd fall as much in love with your music as I am! What would it take to get you to perform some more in the southern region?

Hi Billy. My name is Aaron Reed, and I'm from Frankfort Kentucky. I have some questions.

Where do you stand as relating to video games and video game systems? What (if any) are some of your favorite George Jones Songs? Finally, what's the funniest thing you've seen on TV?

I found out that you spectate when it comes to karaoke.
I am a member of a website called SingSnap.com.
When I sing some songs like, He Stopped loving Her Today or Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes, I sometimes wish I could sound like you do now, LOL.

Thanks, and please leave me a comment as soon as you can.

Aaron Reed.

PS, please check out the playlist I maled you. Tell me what you think of it. I would love to hear you belt out versions of He Stopped Loving Her Today, Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes, If Drinkin' Don't Kill Me Her Memory Will, and Bartender's Blues.

Peace and Happyness to you.

Take it easy BG!!!
