So here's something of an "offical" statement on the status of THA. For right now most of our time and efforts aren't focused on this band. For some of us it's school, others it's a new band, work... blah blah blah you know the spiel. We've found that over the course of the last few months it's been getting harder and harder to even have a full line up at all of our shows, or even to have perminant members to list on the myspace. I guess the passion and desire to continue the efforts to try to make this thing work aren't really there right now. If we were to continue, it wouldn't be what I would consider "acceptable" for a band that I am in, and I'm sure most of the other guys would agree. Meaning that live shows would be WAY sloppy, we'd be playing "man down"or "2 or 3 men down" almost every show, we wouldn't be writing and recording new music, no touring, and we wouldn't be bettering ourselves as musicians, making the absolute best music we can.
That said, these past 4 years have straight up ruled! We've met some really awesome people, been to some really awesome places with some really awesome people, and have met some not so awesome people in Ohio. We want to thank everyone who has ever come to a show, listened to our music, put us up for the night, and every band who has hooked us up with a show or who we have ever played with... except Twitch. Also everyone who is currently or ever was on our top friends... BIIIG BIG Thanks to DJ for taking one for the team, and by one I mean many! But for realz DJ rules and has helped out so much! ALSO anyone who I forgot!
Come to our last 2 shows... They'll be eventful.
March 20th @ Zaydee's in Highland, MI w/ The Waffle Stompers, CIB 800, Front of Resistance, A Wasted Four Chords, and 2 Tone Runts
March 21st @ Club 789 in Jackson, MI w/ The Waffle Stompers... and probably some more bands.
One Love,
The Happy Accidents!
We'll leave you to Rachel Yamagata, who will speak our last words as a band for us...
