Current mood:  happy

Well. Record is done! It's actually been done for quite some time now, but I keep throwing things away and then resurrecting them days-weeks-sometimes-months later... Distribution details to come after it goes to the mastering house for some final tweaks by John Vestman, who remarkably enough, did Beck (and Sting's haha) records. I'm EXCITED!!! And oh, here's a (trashy) working cover and track listing:

Oranje Crusche: Goodbye, Los Angeles (LP)
Track Listing (proposed)
----------------------
1. Purple Blouse
2. Venom into the Breeze (feat. Scotty B. of LHS)
3. Mr. James Brown (feat. Jereme James)
4. Anahymen
5. What Used to Be Def
6. Mr. Goldenrod
7. Reo Nasty (feat. Hochii)
8. Good Gatdamn
9. That Righteous Mix
10. Cold Death
11. Razorblades (featuring Kaziah)
12. Alone in the Rain
13. Handjob Honeys
14. Kill the Principal (featuring DJ Cocoe & Jud Nester of Abstract Workshop)
15. Oranje Crushe (remix by PASTEK, France)

============================

On another note, me thinks I'll begin work on a Jazz and Funk record. I think it's been over a year since I've listened to anything else... lost in a sea of Big Band, Parliament, and Lady Day. I've been playing a ton of bass and guitar lately... Picked up a new Broadway Elitist and have been slapping away on my trusty MusicMan Sterling... So yeah. Another project, new name. And all in the name of fun and release... 'cause God, do I need it...

Oh, and ps - that name is supposed to be comedic... I wanted to think of the strangest detective name from the 20's that I could come up with, so take it with a grain of salt(y)? I just got my hands on a ton of the old STAX Records instrumentals - tons of Booker T. and the MG's, and The Mar-Keys tracks, so it should be a fun stretch... And looking forward to making it free. Everything should be free, no?

To all of you folks who continue to come by and read, comment, send love - I want you to know how much I truly appreciate it. Sincuuurrrley.

xo

I only have BT & the MGs on CD... I wish I could swipe your records. Stoked about the new album. I love Alone in the Rain! (& all the other tracks I've ever heard, but I have to admit to a favorite.) Nice cover, thank God you don't pick things like a micro shot of a flower.
