SBT I haven't seen SBT that many times I think I've only seen them once or twice. I don't remember what songs they played. I don't know which one is which (cept the drummer cos his name is lunch or will). The other members are Sean and Ted, and I don't know which one is which.
I haven't a clue how long they've been around. But I know I like them.
Ska core, or whatever third wave ska style you want to call it is hard to pull off without making people vomit.
Usually bands are out ripping off op ivy, or just playing really crappy originals that all sound the same. Ska is just a messy genre to work out, with or without horns
Fortunately SBT has pulled it off
Sure there is the obvious operation ivy/ common rider worship, but this seems to be less blatant " man I wish we were op ivy" and more " hey lets cover that song we like."
I don't know where SBT stands ..ion. Or politics, or veganism, or war in *insert nation*
I have no friggen clue. And that's a good thing!
SBT is about…..nothing! Its just fun! So shut up! Finally there is a band that you can just like and not worry about how we're all going to die in some nuclear holocaust! That's what is missing here. People that can just shut up about the president and sing about silly crap that is totally sweet. I know people out there remember the Dickies, the Angry Samoans, and the Dead Milkmen. Great bands that sang about not much! Well SBT sounds like Knowledge hugging Beach Party Vietnam. Forget us against them. Forget us uniting with them. In fact forget everything for a bit. Remember when you could laugh at things and dancing wasn't a war? When things felt good? Well that's SBT! Skank it up! - Shane
