Andrew Meyer had a simple question that he wanted an answer to. When surrounded by police trying to force him to leave, Meyer drew back, with his hands in the air. A sign of submission. He said that he would leave peacefully, without incident. Instead of letting him go, the officers pinned him to the ground, and as Meyer shouted for help, screaming "please, god, don't taser me!", continually tazed the harmless, subdued student.

Meanwhile, Kerry asked the officers to calm down, and let the boy go so that he could answer the question.

Meyer was arrested, thrown in county jail, and is being charged with disturbing a public event. The officers have not been reprimanded. They will not be punished for their use of brutal force on an innocent student.

Does this seem right to you?

Why didn't the police stop when Kerry told them to?

Why was Meyer tased MULTIPLE times when he was clearly subdued, and screaming "oh god, please don't taser me!"?

Why aren't the officers involved being reprimanded for improper use of force?

And most of all, why the fuck didn't anybody do anything?

There is no excuse for an incident like this to go unpunished.

The time for revolution is at hand.

Sic Semper Tyrannis.

It was hilarious when Kerry says, "Hey, stop. Let me answer his question."

I agree with this statement. I mean, other than Meyer being really loud and somewhat disruptive (which doesn't bother Kerry, apparently), Meyer did nothing wrong. It was pure brutality in which the police forced him to the ground and made him stop.

Also, Kerry continues his speech and stuff in the background, which I was trying to concentrate on. It was weird how toward the end he says something like ".. have him come up and swear me in as president" and then hearing the audience laugh, right as Meyer gets tazered.

... I don't want to live in this supression of free speech society. I agree, we need to take some sort of action against acts of violence by authorities like this. It can't happen.
