For some of us, we first heard of EUREKA on Dave Bainbridge's Songs for Luca 2 CDs. Personally, Frank Bossert's music captivated my attention and I sought out his music. It fit well in the vein of Celtic Prog Rock and along side IONA.
From what I understand, Luca, Dave's son also loves Eureka. He has great taste in music!
So what is the tie in with Iona? Well, one of Iona's members, the great piper, Troy Donockley has guested on Eureka's latest recording "Shackleton's Voyage", dealing with Ernest Shackleton's Antarctic voyage on the Endurance ship. Troy's talent adds even more magic to an already brilliant cast of musicians.
Now after hearing the CD, today, and being left in awe (and sometimes feeling goosebumps) at this powerful concept album, I felt I must let others know.
