At the end of the Moving the Lives of Kids (MLK) Community Mural Project’s 2009 season, the August Wilson Center will host the organization’s second annual fundraiser, Outside the Lines. This fundraiser and celebratory event will showcase this year’s murals, raise awareness of the MLK Community Mural Project, and help the continuation of art to prosper in the City of Pittsburgh. Outside the Lines will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 with a VIP donor reception from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and general admission from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am. The event will feature a new Dance Mural performance, the unveiling of the Video Mural, a silent art auction, spoken word by Vanessa German, live musical performances by Gene Stovall and the Party Socks, DJ Hidden Gem, and Lee Robinson as well as complementary food and drink. The event is for all ages.
