What a productive week it has been for NB:. What with a few less Djing activities this week, a little bit of motivation from the incredible success of the Xpress 2 Remix competition and a little bit of concentration, it is amazing what kind of music the NB: engine can produce.
Last week saw the sneak preview of "The Latin Beast" at Mint Leaf. The first sneak preview was so sneaky, that a second one closed Rob Boy Right's set to a round of applause. Not sure that it was for the track, or the good work Rob Boy and Matty Zee had done all night entertaining the busy bar. However, people were quite surprised at how housey in sound and vibe it was compared with the usual eclectic pop that is produced and a good old head nod was had by all. We will possibly hear a few of the new NB: tracks on the system again this Friday...
This week saw the sneak preview of "The 80's Wakeboard Anthem" up on myspace. It was quickly snapped up by Digger Dog Rocks Productions for their new wakeboard video coming out very soon. This is very exciting for both NB: and Digger Dog Rocks and both look forward to the release, with great anticipation.
An electro smirk of a track appeared late last week on myspace as well. "Neon Disco Attitude" by name, and Neon Disco Attitude by nature. A little poke at everything 80's and a dig at the electro nature of the world club scene at the moment. We are waiting for the release of a pumping remix of it to fill club floors...
Last but not least. "Mr Rushy Pants" was finished last night and appeared on myspace in the early hours of this morning. This song was inspired by a close friend and the name coined by Lisa and Marni. Eclectic pop at its very best. I am sure everyone knows a little Mr Rushy Pants in their lives.
And in time for christmas (we are going to try and get this to the top of the christmas chart's)
Firstly, very exciting news. NB: has just signed a record deal with the previously unheard of CUT RUG RECORDS.
NB:'s new album out on CUT RUG RECORDS will be featuring all the above tracks and the previously unrealeased 4 track EP.
