Greetings all.
So in this new year, I find myself working full time at an internship in between fall and spring semester of school. It kind of feels like a tease really, because although I feel like I'm done with school and out on my own (because of the hours I'm putting in), I still really have one more semester to go before I graduate college. The internship is with a small financial planning firm. I'm not sure if it's the work I'd like to do, but if I do choose this field, I'll probably stay with these guys. It's nice having a foot in the door somewhere. I'm also looking into positions with Pearl drums in Nashville, TN and QVC in West Chester, PA.
My car was broken into a couple of nights ago. Stupid me left the door unlocked (d'oh!) which is unlike me to do, but regardless. It seemed to be some punk kids looking for money. They cleaned out my glove box and another storage compartment and then threw it all around the car. Beh'stids. Oddly enough, my mp3 player, which I believe was conceiled when I parked the car that night, was not taken. It was left on the passenger seat in clear view. Clearly whoever this guy was didn't have the brains to take something $300 in value. All in all, no damage and nothing taken (that I can tell). I was lucky.
The kitty is back in the apartment. She was staying with one of my roomates over the break. I think she got used to jumping on the cloth curtains at her vacations home, because at the apartment, she keeps running and jumping into the plastic vertical blinds (as if she could cling to them) which only makes a loud awkwared noise followed by a thump as the kitty hits the floor. Despite her numerous failed attempts, she keeps trying. I don't think she gets it. Whatadumbbbb kiiiiiiiiitty.
Three day weekend coming up (I only work a four day week at the internship). I have a lot of pep band - 3 games in 4 days. My side project for the weekend is to clean up my Yamaha drum set, get it ready to sell, and get some flyers made up. Top of the line kit and cymbals with hardware and hard cases. Interested?
