Finder's Comment:  "A couple of years ago, I was dating a gal who wanted to publish my poetry in a chapbook. Then she wanted to just go to local coffeehouses and bookstores and leave copies in obscure places for people to find, which she referred to as "guerilla poetry." We never actually did it, but I always thought it was a clever idea. Recently, I've wanted to get a group of poetry advocates at my school together to form a "guerilla poetry" team, a group who would stick poems inside books at the university library, host megaphone poetry readings outside academic buildings, etc. So when I stumbled across your broadside last night and saw there was a group called Guerilla Poetics Project, my more mystic side led me to believe that the Way unfolded to lead me in a direction where I could be a part of something that helps spread the Word, and inspire me to go through with plans I've had for years but never actually carried out. Why do I believe in spreading poetry? Because I am a poet. Which is not to say that I want more people to read poetry solely because I write it. But I understand the importance of poetry. Words were always my chosen form of expression. Then, one day, probably about 4 years ago now, I read a poem by Jeffrey McDaniel. It was the most beautiful use of language I'd ever seen, and at that moment (not to overly romanticize the incident or anything) I knew that I had no other option than to begin really taking myself seriously as a poet. And since then, I have really tried to do so. The point is, that feeling I got when I read that poem is something indescribable but something that changed my life. I know that poetry is capable of that, but not many people really get a chance to be exposed to poetry. That's why I appreciate so much what you have set out to do. That's why I want to be a part of it."
