Aloha Funkateers!
Before I get into the details for this weekend, I wanna cover two events coming up next weekend. Which is San Francisco’s high holy day also known as Halloween. And since all hollow’s eve falls on Saturday there’s a metric ton load of events happening that night. But here are two events I think you should drop into your playlist for the evening. First, lets talk about the Spiderball at the Bently Reserve. It’s got Vibe Squad, Beats Antique and Random Rab as headliners so you know the Dub will be in full effect for this one. They’ve expanded the venue into two rooms, which means twice the performers and twice the fun! You can ticket info and the full entertainment line up on the
Spider Ball site. If Tech Funk is more your flavor then you’ll wanna hit up Night of the Living Bass at Mighty with Wolfgang Gartner & Uberzone. The Opel crew always puts the extra special juju into their Halloween parties so you know this one’s gonna be freaky as funk. Get the whole story over at the
Opel Productions site. So there you have it, Funkateers. Two great Halloween parties that you can really sink your teeth into. Take your pick, or hit up both. Hey, remember how fun party hopping was? We gotta bring back that vibe.
…And speaking of complex entertainment programming, This Friday night the Freeform vs. Dubalicious crew is putting together a night of Masquerade Debauchery at Shine. Think of it as a warm up for next weekend’s craziness. It’s only $5 to get in and will feature me on the decks at Midnight as well as the usual good times that the Freeform vs. Dubalicious crew is known for. Only with masks. Which makes it more mysterious. If you swing that way. And I know you do.
Every time I try to walk away something makes me turn around and stay,
Smoove.
Don't forget about Fog City Funk every Wednesday night at 8p-10p on
