Village Records Review of Christine Smith's "Tomorrow Blues" (Phidelity Records)
Smith is one of those behind the scenes players that has graced many a disc we all own. From Marah to Ryan Adams she's helped them all. So for her debut album she naturally sings and plays nearly every instrument herself. She just doesn't like to ask for help. Think Pete Townsend's "Who Came First" here. This could be the break out disc of the year if enough people get in step with her. The songs come from the dark side more often than not, but from a kind of cool dark side. You heard about it here first.
