Nothing ever got going on that one. So now, after all the dirty work was done by business owners to clean up the street and create a viable alternative to the Douchebag 6th / Warehouse Districts, the city wants to come in a mow everything down for a fucking riverwalk. 	Lurking in Darkness©	I read this months ago, re-posted and gave my sanest bitch rant on the survey, stating exactly how stupid the whole river walk thing is. However, I realize that there are other things that can be done in order to save the Red River District, and I would like to offer a suggestion to the building and business owners of the area: Please consider the feasibility of acquiring historical designations for your buildings or even the district as a whole. Historical designations are intended to preserve and legally protect older buildings and neighborhoods. Designations exist on the local(city), state, and federal levels and there are different requirements for each. While I don't have much research into eligibility requirements and procedures at this time, I will happily research this for you and provide information if needed.
