Went out to get some art supplies today and finaly hit me that are only two REAL art stores left in the Detroit-area. .... used to be spoiled back in the day but not anymore. It's getting rough to keep a bussiness afloat these days in Michigan.

So it's down to Utrecht ( downtown Detroit )

or

Dick Blick ( in Dearborn )

tough call, as Utrecht  has better prices but it's a further drive. Dick Blick is not as far and is in a slightly better neighborhood ( although it's two doors down from a strip club if that says anything about "better neighborhoods" LOL! )

So I went with Dick Blick. Got  myself  some new Prismacolor greyscale markers( the Holy-effing-Grail of cool-ass markers! heehee! ) and a GIANT piece of bristol board. I'm about to start a LARGE piece for my friend James. I know I've kept him waiting for a while. It's rough  taking on a large piece of artwork.... it just sucks part of your soul away ( but in a good way? ) I don't know how else to describe it.
