"WE'RE BACK! WE'RE BACK! WE'RE BACK!
And we're comin' your way!!!"

That's right, Girls Girls Girls is back from Alaska and instead of breaking hearts and melting icecaps like we expected, our hearts were melted instead, by the nicest population of people we've ever met (except for the bouncer at the first strip club we tried to get into. More about that later...).

After a very long day of plane trips, layovers, crappy crackers, and haulin' heavy metal, guitars and high heels to our 5000-mile destination, we finally made it to Anchorage.

And right there to meet us was our new favorite friend (and most excellent promoter), Sarah from Family Tree Presents.  Little did we know how much time and thought she would be dedicating to making sure our time spent there was well worth the crappy crackers.

Upon checking in to the Parkwood Inn we were greeted by the coolest hotel staff and happy to find our nice big warm rooms. (which unfortunately did not get set on fire by flare guns, ripped apart by switchblade knives or had T.V.'s thrown out the windows).
One hour later we're at a place called Humpy's.  Nope, not a strip club (yet).  It was a pretty cool restaurant and bar with some damn fine fish tacos and our first taste of crab legs.  mmm...

SHOW DAY:
Breakfast 11am, IHOP.  Ok, just about the best breakfast ever!  All you can eat pancakes?? All you can drink orange juice??  What's wrong with these people??  And we thought we were cool, but then 4 ladies walk in with florescent wigs and sunglasses on... we talked to them to see why... just for the hell of it, they said.  They rocked!

..

Back to the Parkwood to get showered and ready for our 3pm soundcheck at Chilkoot Charlie's.

KOOT'S:
Uuuummm... WTF?  This place is like big enough to shelter the whole state of Alaska!  I would die happy there.  10 different bars??  Sawdust floors??  Keg barrel stools?  We were amazed, and that was just one of the bars!
Next, a quick interview by Alex from Channel 11 - that was fun. (and thanks Alex for coming back to film the show and hook us up with that kick-ass video!  And thanks to the awesome crowd and the crazy shit you people were doing while he was filming our show - I'm talking tits & ass shaking - the Crue would have been proud!)

Then we met the guys in Eve 6, a very cool band who played the next night.  Nice guys.

And what?  Sal's Pizza?  Sal from Ozone Park, Queens, NY!!?  He hooked us up with some really great New York Style Pizza!  Yummy.

Speaking of Sals'.  We want to give a big shout out to the amazing sound engineer who put his million (or so) watts of power to a good use and made us sound f-in rockin that night.  And thank you Michael, monitor engineer, for monitoring us quite finely.  (and to all of you who don't know - stay back - you never know when you might get punched in the gut by  Vixen or Tawny)

THE SHOW:

Back stage...
And yes - we are always in this position backstage...

And a huge thanks to Crash from 100.5 the Fox for pumpin' everyone up about the show.  Nice work, dawg!

We hear the chanting... "GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS"... before we even go on stage. We knew it was going to be a good night.  We walk on stage and see 400 fists in the air!  We love you people.  Our most fun show ever! Best crowd ever!  And how many shots of J.D. were up on that stage?  20? 30?  Blurred vision inhibits my ability to count.

(And if anyone wants to submit their live shots of the show we'd love to see them!)

BIGGEST FAN AWARDS:
Thanks, Tommy & Mike, who flew in all the way from the Arctic Circle to hear us play, and of course thanks to all of the fans whose names that Jack Daniels didn't allow us to remember...oh, and we won't forget those military hotties OR all the rockin' chics that we hung out with too!

AFTER THE SHOW:
Awesome, we went to the hottest strip club in Anchorage, The Great Alaskan Bush Company.  Tawny and Vixen approach the doorguy first and... ACCESS DENIED!!!  WHA-HA-UT?  They didn't think Tawny's ID was real! and didn't like Vixen trying to make it all better by touching his inner leg saying "its cool baby, we're blah blah blah and just played a show at blah blah..." He said, "get out of here. you have an attitude problem" I don't think many people have seen the angry devil that lives inside of me... it takes a lot to make me mad but when I do.... yikes! I was screaming at him and said "BIG MISTAKE, PIG! BIG MISTAKE! YOU DON'T KNOW WHO YOU'RE MESSING WITH HERE!"  Well, that did not help.  (and I am sorry for calling him a pig)  So... back to the hotel for some cold pizza and roadie torture games.

DAY AFTER THE SHOW:
Off to the mall to get some Ulu knives, peppered Salmon Jerkey (uhh - not so good), tee shirts and other touristy items for the suckers we left behind in NYC.
Took a little walk... and found a slippery park.

Best waitress ever! Renee at La Mex Mexican restaurant.  She was so cool - she totally touched our hearts.  Thanks for the naughty little present!  And to all the staff at La Mex, you rule!

Then off to get kicked out at another bar.  Apparently the Anchorage Police have no sense of humor.  :)  (oops)

We took a breathtaking cruise up to Girdwood the next day, where we were all pretty awed into silence.  We saw some of the most indescribable beauty that earth has to offer.

We drove around the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and saw some majestic wildlife.

We visited some big furry friends (who obviously didn't need any booze in order to make out with us)

Then feasted on more crab than should be legal to ingest, and still could not finish it....

Off to the Crazy Horse - where we got a bunch of lap dances and recruited some talent for our next Alaska gig!

(..."Crazy Horse!  Anchorage A.K.!  Forgot the names remember romance!"...)

Then decided to go back to see if they would remember us at the Bush Company....(the one that wouldn't let us in before)  Well, they let us in and we forgive them - they didn't even kick Vixen out after she threw a chair across the room (it was a part of her cool rock dance move routine).

We even made our early flight the next day... (barely)

But other than that - it was no fun at all.
:)

Now... what town should we demolish next???

XOXO,
ViXeN, Nikita, Ms. Mars, and Tawny Lee.

*************************************P.S.******************************************
an extra big special thanks to our Stage Crue, Bryan (a.k.a. Ox) We couldn't do this without you, buddy!  (plus you're awesome and hilarious... oh, and strong!)

And Rachel... who follows us around documenting the debauchery... She does some amazing work.  Look out for her Girls Girls Girls film coming out in the near future!

And Sarah... have we thanked you enough????  (and Thank Eric (not pictured below) for us too!  He totally rocked!!)

We love you all!!!
Roseann
