Hi everybody out there in digi-land! We just returned from a fruitful expedition into the american west, and southwest. Heres some of what we dug and didn't dig. Getting to hear Mcdougal (Portland) open the show every night was an absolute pleasure. His music is inspiring, and you should know it. I wouldn't want to be a TV around him though. He might unplug me. The folks at the shows were so cool, as Hillstomp crowds tend to be. So many friends. Idaho, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and then back to our beautiful Oregon. Thank you all... I think the Joshua Tree Roots music fest might have been the best festival we've ever played. Where it was, who played, who and how many attended, the food, vendors, beer, I wouldn't have changed one thing. Never said that before! This winter will be an interesting one at camp Hillstomp. Things will be a little slower for us as we work on a new record. We have a few songs recorded already. We are recording at Type Foundry in PDX. They sound so damn good, I'm (to use a word i rarely do) stoked. We are hoping to go to Europe again in Feb. or March.
Thanks everybody for all the love here and there. Hope your summer was in the sun, and your winter by the fire. Hillstomp
