YOU ARE THE REASON

You are the reason why I wake in the morning

The reason why I had my beginning

Knowing I have you by my side

No longer do I have to hide

For when I look into your eyes

I see not my wonderful disguise

I see a reflection not seen before

Yet a reflection I want day to day more

You are the reason why I take my breath each day

The reason why I find more to say

With you I am able to get through

Any and everything I must go through

You give me hope each day

Hope in more than one way

With you by my side

I no longer have to hide my cry

For with you I have the much needed shoulder

To lean my head upon in times of pain

When the clouds have dried up all rain

I have been able to put behind my painful years
