I haven't had time to blog. I've been revising to meet a deadline.
My youngest graduated from high school, and we had to do some getting ready for college stuff. He's eager to start.
Last week I flew to CA to attend my son's graduation from Stanford. Had a great time. I was proud, and I was surprised he shared a big room in a house on campus with three girls and a guy. He had mentioned co-ed rooms, but I didn't think he meant his.
My daughter was taking a summer course. She had gone to another country with her group and broke her foot in the rain forest. I did not know about the accident until after she returned. I hate phone calls that start with, "Are you sitting down?" She told me this extraodinary and scary story about what had happened. She'll come home tomorrow. (Husband flew out to help her.) She's in a cast and uses crutches. Surgery appears to be in the near future. Her doctors in LA referred her to a surgeon here. So far they've been "watching" the fracture to see if it will heal without surgery.
I'm hoping to get another dog on Monday. I may have mentioned that my dog died a couple of months ago. I'd had her for eleven years. My husband says I do not need another dog.
Hope everyone is having a nice summer!
