We're back home and all active with daily life a few days after the gig at Vätterfesten in Jönköping, Sweden. To us this gig was a success, since it was done with short period of very few rehearsals and combined with the fact that Pär Gustafson filled in on bass on such short notice didn't make it all easier. But things went great, Pär did a great job, sound and lightning effects was fulfilling and most important... There were lots of people there enjoying the music of Lava Engine.
One thing though, which all who where there hopefully noticed; The Kill was meant to be our grand finale and it really felt like it. Something big was about to happen in the end, with a climax outro chorus... All of a sudden one of the stage crew guys jumped out on stage waving that it was all over. What? Time was a quite important thing this evening as it seems. Our intention was just to play the remaining minute of this song though, and believe that this stage guy thought we were about to round it up with just one more song. Too bad, but no worries. Understandable that all bands must keep the time restrictions. More like a fun memory now, a few days later. We are happy anyhow, and all together this live experience was among the best we've ever done, I must say. Hopefully, more than we thought so.
Once again, the brilliant photographer and art designer Tomas Carlström was there to make this evening memorable which you can enjoy in the latest added gallery, Vätterfesten -09.
Take care for now, and we'll be back with news quite soon!
