This Is War! Robert Capa at Work and Gerda Taro are opening at the Museu Nacional D'Art de Catalunya in Barcelona tomorrow. Because Capa and Taro cut their teeth on the Spanish Civil War, bringing startling images of the front line to the rest of the world, their temporary return to Spain is quite a big deal. The exhibitions are on view through September 27. Both shows continue onto the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam October 10.

Upcoming tour dates for Avedon Fashion 1944–2000 have been announced. So if you are unable to see it in New York, you will have the chance to see it at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Florida, February 6–May 9, 2010. Then at the Detroit Institute of Arts, October 18, 2010–January 17, 2011.
