In this day and age...it's crazy how bigotry still exists.

I NEED you to add my songs to your player to prove to these labels that all people are NOT racists and bigots like they think you are.

These labels are STILL trippin over my CD cover because I'm "on the cover with a white girl"."We love the music". "It's a throw back that needs to come back." They say... "BUT we can't sell it with the cover like that... may offend too many people." My reply to that is always... If it offends them, then I definitely don't want them to have my CD anyway."

I want to prove these labels WRONG...Prove to them that more people will cop it because they genuinely feel the music... than not buy it cause they are BIGOTS.

It takes but a few seconds for you to do... and it will prove to them that race does NOT matter.. still don't believe that... Obama is the proof.

Thanks for your support.

It is time for people to stand up for progress and change for all. Obama wants to update the rail system in America, to stay up to date with what is being done in other countries. I say it is time to move into the future, and that also applies to human beings. A bee does not ask the color of a flower before it pollinates. We love to see different colors in flours, dogs, cats, birds...humans are intelligent enough to know this.
Then why do we make cultural differences?

Truth be known it is FEAR. It is time to let go of the fear and just love.

The record companies should look at how many times a song has been played, downloaded, and requested, instead of worrying about a cover! Keep singing, Keep doing it your way...there will be a record company that will give you a contract based on talent. Bigotry is outdated, unwanted, the human spirit doesn't need color differences...America needs to catch up with the rest of the world...period!

My vessel may be white on the outside, but inside my spirit there is a rainbow,

Janet

Benny your so talented, don't worry its part of the painful experiences of rejection , something I know well.

Keep turning to your poetry Benny as that is what really matters in the big scheme of things. Nothing is fair to artists deserving.
However assured success will be yours, within you is success, now make God proud ~Aloha Dear Benny~Sarah~

Race, Age and Sex.  How easy is it for people to define themselves?  How easy it is for us to accept those labels?  People are none of those things at their center. We are who we are both good and bad. Some of us fall into the spirtual prisons of racism, self-loathing and pure hatred for every thing we are not. Others soar above that. We search for dreams yet undiscovered, goals yet not achieved and visions unseen. Never let any one define who you are or what you do with your music. Let alone an album cover? Are we not beyond such petty tyrannies of the mind?  I guess not. That is why I commented here and to let you know. I commend you for your stand. Keeping fighting the good fight and keep singing. One day, perhaps, we will get beyond all this but until then, just know there are people out there that understand one simple fact. We are all the same with the same dreams, wants, needs and desires in life to accepted as we are and not by others who attempt to imprison our minds and souls.

As the late Dr. King so eloquently said:

I look forward confidently to the day when all who work for a living will be one with no thought to their separateness as Negroes, Jews, Italians or any other distinctions. This will be the day when we bring into full realization the American dream -- a dream yet unfulfilled. A dream of equality of opportunity, of privilege and property widely distributed; a dream of a land where men will not take necessities from the many to give luxuries to the few; a dream of a land where men will not argue that the color of a man's skin determines the content of his character; a dream of a nation where all our gifts and resources are held not for ourselves alone, but as instruments of service for the rest of humanity; the dream of a country where every man will respect the dignity and worth of the human personality.

Peace
Shady
