BODYSTYLER interview published October 11th, 2009
[republished by USELINKS October 27th, 2009]

*translated from german to english
"Björn : Your lyrics are very emotional. Do you like to offer our readers a few words about it? Titles such as "Like Dying," "Endgame" and "So This Is Doom sound" is not really optimistic ...

Jason: I am very pleased that the work put onto the album emotions on the listener. The key is that the lyrics are real, not fantasy. It was a kind of bloodletting, documenting these real experiences, it was painful things you prefer to ignore. Traumatic experiences tend to have the greatest impact on us and we tried to offer the most pure and honest truths.

Ollie: We were approaching the texts, try to see things as they are and not how we wish it. We're all human, and the best way to meet the listeners with respect, is not to forget this. This means that even once wrote about something that has been painful for one."

SCHWARZE-NEWS interview published October 4th, 2009

*translated from german to english
"SN: For those who do not know you, would you imagine? How did you know you learned?

Jason: I'm Jason, musician, carnivore and cat enthusiest. I met Ollie in a K2 base camp while waiting for a window in a storm front while on a search and rescue mission to retrieve a team of stranded Jamaican hang gliders. In the third week the stormfront opened a window. We wrote "Like Dying" and "Anywhere But Here" in a period where we struggling with illness and frostbite. As the rescue operation began, we found ourselves hanging together with four Jamaicans in an ice-cliff and impotent after us with a small ice avalanche in a column included, we were able to write "Cave In", "So It Is Doom" and "Endgame". Ultimately, we would be rescued by the Indian military and a band was formed.

Ollie: I think Jason is not too serious with you. They were to be honest, only three Jamaicans. The other was, I believe, a Cajun. I also want to clarify that Jason, when he says he means to be a "cat enthusient" only domestic cats, and to be precise, the Hairless. He has twelve of them. At least if you count the stuffed."

HIS INFERNAL MAGAZINE interview published November 7th, 2009

*published in Italian, Portuegese, English & Spanish
"Monni : What are your myths of the past and present what inspires you most ?

Jason : Life, the difficulty of it, the beauty of it, reaching inside ourselves and then tearing it out in an audio form for the world to witness. A lot of Blunt Force Volume was based on loss, and loss of someone meaningful in particular. There are so many aspects that lead to loss, so many acidic flavors to swallow and taste."

FABRYKA interview published April 18th, 2009

"Marco: If you can collaborate with any bands or artists, are there anyone in particular that you want to collaborate with?

Jason: If it could be anyone, it would be Adrian Belew, Robert Fripp, and Dave Lombardo, of course I would probably be fairly worthless as I would just sit there in awe the whole time."

Fabryka interview by NINa & Marco Gariboldi

FABRYKA interview published February 3rd, 2007
[the very first ever WGTF interview]

"Brian Backlash: Your music has a rough but palatable texture to it. Are you more inclined to noise music or pop sensibilities when you're working on new material?

Ollie : Sometimes we try and take a more gentle approach to the songs, but for some reason after the harp and wind chimes have gone through three Scream Distortion units, they just don't sound so gentle anymore. Maybe we should try four distortion units?"

SPHERE interview published October 15th, 2009

Sphere ] Can you tell us about your individual inspiration when writing the tracks, ‘Sedona’ and ‘Someone Somewhere’ – there is a wealth of emotion within these tracks but they are different in pace, tone and content?

Ollie : "Sedona" was actually written in a little desert town in
Arizona with the same name. I was at a wedding, and I had a lot of time to myself that I spent it thinking about how marriages are more often than not, the beginning of the end. It’s a depressing concept, but unfortunately a very real one. The mood and lyrical content emerged out of that.
