its easier to look at ppl's myspace profile that to look ppl in the eye on the street.

easier to talk to ppl on here and on the web than it is in real life.

is this a replacement or a supplement to real life? i dunno... a combination of both i guess.

is being on the web in most of your free time *bad*? who defines what's "good" and "bad" its relative.

why do i care? why should anyone care?

what is life? what is my life?

ok there's a good point -- this is all about ME. ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, ME.

ME as in mediated.

how mediated is real life? if RL is mediated is it real?

i think my head is going to explode and i'm gonna throw up.

I know what you mean. It can be difficult to get away from someone if you are with them.

My mom was here over the weekend and she talks all of the time. I hear the same stories 400 times...

BUT

If I get an email from her I don't even have to open it. When she asks if I got her email I usually say it ended up in bulk mail or something similar.

 

It is all about me or you or whomever...Lookit me! Lookit my stuff! Don't I look riduculous in these holiday snaps?

I like being able to use this site (or Bolt). It's kinda like sampling someone before making contact.

+ you never know who you may run into. I found two people I went to school with. Haven't talked to them in over 20 years. May be 20 more before I actually see them again. Don't really care.

I have an email friend from way back. I know he's a little fuct up. Then I saw his blogs on myspace and found out how sick and twisted he really is.

So I like it. I spend way too much time here checking to see if there is a new message. Truth is most people don't care when I send a message/comment to them. Just another drooling fan boy trying to glom onto their fame.

Not for me.
I place a lot of importance on reading people's expressions, body language, and tone of voice. But, here online, everything's filtered through a manufactured self-image. It's like administering a lie detector test over the phone on the honor system.
I also use a lot of the same to communicate, but I can't even try that without dropping a dozen emoticons in every paragraph.
I'm also a sexy bitch in real life, but you can't tell that through a monitor.
