"A White Boyz Tale" In the midst of the 9/11 hysteria, the publication of this article in Don Diva magazine in the summer of 2001 turned Soul Man into 'BOP Enemy #1' and resulted in his transfer to a higher security prison. His transfer was based solely on the words appearing in this article. During that transfer, Soul Man was put through a nightmare journey courtesy of the BOP that included diesel therapy, SIS investigations, trips to the hole, and a stay in a drycell. The BOP tried to break him, but Soul Man wouldn't stop writing. The retaliation and harassment from his keepers only made him stronger mentally and forged his pen hand in steel.
