Heres some new press or whatever on our first 7":
Jay Litchfield of terminal-boredom's top picks of 06': "brevity + moronic lyrics + urinals bashing + drum machine = i want more more more. did i mention brevity?"
terminal-boredom review: "Debut release from these Texas miscreants (who also serve time in The Wrists) and it's a doozy. "Mosquito" could be the shortest a-side to a single I've ever heard and it comes off sounding somewhere between The Urinals and The Sneaky Pinks, which is obviously retarded and great. The flip has the ultra classy "I Eat Vomit", another two chord lesson in retardation (you'd be surprised how easy it is for "I eat vomit, I eat puke" to get stuck in your head all day) and "Worm", a driving, minimalist blast perfectly executed. While this record has the band as a two piece, with only a guitar and a drum machine, their upcoming HoZac Records 7" has them sounding a bit more beefed up with the addition of a bass player and a real drummer. Add another band to the "must buy" list." (JG)
Mitch Cardwells Lets Get Hurt Column from MRR: "A debut of equal, if not greater appeal is Rehab Records' Introducing THE WAX MUSEUMS 7"EP. The Wax Museums feature members of THE WRISTS, a Texas band that I went on and on about a few issues ago. Great things come in pairs I suppose, cuz these Wax Museums dropped a big, idiotic punk bombshell with this single. All three tunes here are painfully short, horribly disgusting in subject matter and delivery…and just perrrrfect! I suppose that the brevity of the tunes and subject matter are what have many zine and message board folks citing THE URINALS left and right as the key influence here, which I'm inclined to agree with providing that it be made abundantly clear that the focus of The Wax Muesums has way more to do with fun and bedroom beer drinking than it does with any sort of artful idea. Whatever. Call me over-analytical. Just get the single at www.rehab-records.com."
