Welcome to the NYNBlog.

I had every intention of issuing my first post on Monday, but the days seem to be slipping by and, I suddenly find myself staring at Friday. From here on out, I will do better. That's my commitment.

You know, it's kind of like getting back into the gym. Mustering up the strength for that first workout is always so tough. Then you get in a couple of more days. And finally, you create some semblance of a routine. I may be sore tomorrow, but I'll push through.

So, it's been a busy week, but for good reason. On Monday, New Year's Nation announced that Travis Barker and DJ AM will be performing together from New Year's Nation – Los Angeles. Their performance will be streamed live to newyearsnation.com and pumped into our other nine venues. On New Year's Eve, if you're anywhere on the planet (although preferably at one of our events), you'll be able to see and hear these guys.

Speaking of which… I actually saw AM spin in New York last night. The energy that guy brings to a room is truly phenomenal. And on December 31, with Travis back onstage with him, the Nation is in for a New Year's Eve experience that everyone will be talking about well into 2009.
