I LOVE NYC, but I can't take the winters up here. Last February, it didn't get above freezing the entire month, even during the day. My hillybilly blood can't take it, so I'm gonna hibernate in Nashville till spring. But, the real reason for the move is to explore an incredible songwriting/publishing opportunity down there. I spent some time during Thanksgiving and Christmas writing at Montage Music. Out of eight co-writing sessions, I wrote eight songs including my first country song. No, it's really good. I promise. NYC is the greatest city in the world, but Nashville is the greatest city in the world if you're a songwriter. My plan is to split my time between the two cities and play gigs on the way.

I've been on quite a roll lately -- twenty songs or so in the past three months. I hope to return to NYC in April with twenty more. Till then, I'll be playing my new tunes at gigs down South. Already booked a couple at F. Scott's.

Somewhere the theme to Welcome Back Kotter is playing ...

Awww....you told me you we coming back down south, but you didn't say it was because of all this!!! I'm so excited for you!!! I hope you get more than one song out on paper before April, but I'm super proud of you for getting twenty so far...no matter what the reason...

I'm hoping that you have a safe trip down, an awesome time in Nashville, and maybe (just a little) that you'll be playing in NC somewhere! If so, I'm sure I'll be the first one to know (we'll travel you know?).

I don't blame you a bit for leaving the city right now. I had a trip planned for the 24th this month, but it's simply...just toooo cold! Hope to see you when I make it up in March though.

Remember that you carry my hope, love, and support WHEREVER you go....

Good luck to you! Have the time of your life!

Too cold for a gangsta like you? Good luck on the writing, sounds like you are enjoying it and that is what it is all about...I gotta hear the country song! We are off to LA next week for NAMM and things are looking great, we are going to the visit our friends at the Taylor factory one day while in town. Oh, we have had highs of about 75 for three days now....ah Austin!
Have fun in N-ville and put the gun back in the drawer....warm up will ya!
